My new goals for next week.
When I walk into the library at the start of 5th period, I want to shelve all of the books on the return cart before the end of the period. Also check out at least 4 books total. Those are my goals. I had a great week! Lots of people to check out and lots of books to check in. People needing help. Finding books. Dusting. Other things I had a great time.

Taylor's goals!
Hey! So I've been thinking and I think I'm to change my goal. My new goal is to help spice up the library, like making window displays or make new events. Just make the library a more funner place, not that is isn't already, but I have some idea's that might make it a happier place! :)

What is wrong with this picture?
Watch this video. Please add a comment below:
1. Why is it important that the books in a library are organized?
2. What are three rules or steps that you use to shelve books in our library?

Week of 10/24-10/28
This week, continue to work on your goals and make a post telling me how you have been doing.
Also, go to the library homepage and log in with your usual username and password. In the catalog section, choose "Destiny Quest" from the left hand menu. There is a new feature called "MyQuest." With it, you can create shelves of books that you are reading, have read, and plan to read. You simply look up the book title, then drag it to the appropriate shelf. PLEASE ADD TWO BOOKS TO EACH SHELF.
You can also have "friends," and share with them your reading and your reviews. Please send/accept friend invitations with me as well as all of the student library assistants. Try commenting on at least one SLA's profile. We are testing this out before teaching the rest of the students about it.
PLEASE ADD COMMENTS TO THIS BLOG POST regarding any questions, problems, or ideas you have about the use of MyQuest.

Taylor goal checkup!
I haven't made much progress with my goals, I still need to ask Mrs. Marrigan or Mrs. Trumm on how to repair books. I keep on forgetting that I need to do that. Maybe i'll write it on my hand that i need to ask them.

My goals(:
For the past few weeks I got to work on repairing books which I feel comfortable with now. I look forward to learning how to do more advanced repairs but I'm happy with what I have. I haven't gotten to work on it much this week but it's only Tuesday! I also look forward to be extremely fast at shelving because I haven't been so much lately.
Google a day
My question was "How many leagues is the drive from the current location of Queen Matilda's Tapestry to the site of the battle it portrays?" I found the answer by searching "242 miles in league" and the answer was 70.0974168

Week of Oct 17-20
Well, it has been a long time since I gave you a new task. Each week during your blog day, you should be working on your goals and posting about your progress, even if I don't give you a new thing to work on. That is your goal time. This week, please do the following:
1. Create a post filling me in on what you have been working on and learning. What is your progress on your goals?
2. Go to "A Google a Day" and practice your searching skills. Report in a post on the question, the answer, and how you found it!
3. Go to the Library Homepage and visit the link "Online Databases." To see the pages, you will need to log in with your OSD account (username and student number). Log in to each of the databases and look around. In a post, describe one that you found interesting and how you might use it for a class or research.
NOTE: You should end up with THREE POSTS this week.
