Week 3 Assignment (Feb 22-26)

This week we will continue to work on shelving skills and understanding the Dewey Decimal System. Although most of you completed the webquest last week, few of you had time to sit down with your assigned non-fiction or reference sections to analyze what books and materials are included there. This week you have three tasks in addition to your reading log on BibMe. All assignments are due by Friday.

1. Spend time in your assigned sections. Take your webquest assignment from last week with you and look at the books there. Use this form to analyze one of your sections.

2. Read this document on shelving from the University of Ottawa library.

3. Visit this "Order in the Library 4.0" to play shelving games and improve your skills. Print out your certificate of achievement at the end of your playing time.

We will have a SLA meeting on Friday during 2nd period. You will be excused from your class at that time, but you are responsible for any assignments you miss. We will have donuts at our meeting. Please bring with you a print-out of your Bibme reading log for this quarter.
