Q2 Final Project, due Feb 9
For your final project of the semester, please create a project that teaches a library skill or concept using technology. Your project will be largely devised by you, but should meet these requirements:
1. The project must teach an important library skill or concept (how to...)
2. The project must incorporate technology, preferably the iPad, and should be multimedia.
3. The audience may be students, staff, or future student library assistants.
In a comment below, please make a proposal for a project, including details about how each of the requirements will be met.

I would like to post a video of shelving in the library(: I chose this because it's the first thing you learn as a student library assistant. This, I believe, is the most important skill to learn, since, well, it's a library. With books. Also, could Rosie possibly film for me? I think it would be kinda difficult to shelve while holding an iPad without filming the ceiling or something. I think this video would be more aimed towards future SLA's because it's a tutorial on your job. (:
ReplyDeleteI would like to post a video about how to check out books. Every SLA needs to know this because it helps to operate the library smoothly and orderly. I would like Claire to film for me and possibly Madi Hawkins to be the student. It would be a good example of how to respond to the student and how to appropriately check out a book.
ReplyDeleteI would like to the card sorting app on the iPad. I love technology and I want to be able to use the app cause I love the way that app sounds. And I want to be able to investigate it. I think it sounds very interesting and would love a chance to work on it.
ReplyDeleteThese all sound like good doable projects. I look forward to seeing them.
