My goal for Library organization/circulation goals is to learn how to repair books so I can save Ms. Merrigan and Ms. Trumm time so they won't have to. I've never done it before but I'm willing to try.
For Patron assistance I am want to create displays because they help patrons know whats going on in the library and what new or really good books are. It will also help me so I know whats going on too.
Last but not least is my personal library goal. I want to shelve the books without Ms. Trumm or Ms. Merrigan checking them because not only will it save them time, I will know there in the right spot so patrons won't be confused where a certain book is.

Claire, I agree with you on the whole shelving Thing because it would be nice to not have to turn books right-side up while shelve reading.
ReplyDeleteI like your goals. I think they are well set and you can do it. I agree that Ms. Trumm and Ms. Merrigan shouldn't need to check our shelving. It would make the library more efficient. Great job, Claire. I wish you luck this quarter.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Anna, that I think your goals are great! I don't think that Ms. Trumm or Ms.Marrigan will need to check our books, that we've shelved, anymore because we have had a quarter of experience and we've had Ms. Trumm and Ms.Marrigan to help us along the way. I think that we could come at an MMS Time someday to learn how to repair books and put displays together. Lastly, I think that all the SLA's want to put together displays for patrons.
ReplyDeleteI commented on Sarah's, Roman's, and Anna's blogs.
